Нередко мои мысли посвящены страстному желанию человека скинуть с себя оковы прошлого, окунувшись целиком и полностью в новый прекрасный мир будущего. Тонка грань между желанием пребывать где-то далеко впереди, чтобы убежать и стремлением к новому. Новое склонны идеализировать, называя это состояние гармонией, умиротворением и описывая его как момент вне смятения и проблем. Оставим размышления о том, что без сложностей жизнь будет до отвращения скучна: об этом пишут писатели в своих антиутопиях. Но я выразила в «Диффузии» свою мысль, которую, быть может, рассматривая картину, вы поняли. От нас ускользает деталь, называемая цикличностью — базовым свойством мира, благодаря которому жизнь смогла воплотиться и получить развитие. Всё циклично, и этого в глубине души не хватает людям, желающим стабильности — парадокс. Выходом человечества из этого тягостного состояния нестабильности является диффузия будущего в прошлое. Только так остается возможность не погрузиться в хаос. Цикличность стирает грань прошлого и будущего, ведь они всегда смешаны. Именно поэтому жизнь имеет смысл — в ней Самой Вселенной заключен баланс между отчаянием и тоской от утопичной жизни, жаждой замедлиться и развитием.
Often my thoughts are devoted to the passionate desire of a person to throw off the shackles of the past, plunging entirely into a new beautiful world of the future. There is a fine line between the desire to stay somewhere far ahead in order to escape and the desire for a new one. They tend to idealize the new, calling this state harmony, pacification and describing it as a moment beyond confusion and problems. Let’s leave thinking that life will be disgustingly boring without difficulties: writers write about this in their dystopias. But I expressed my thought in «Diffusion», which, perhaps, looking at the picture, you understood. A detail called cyclicity escapes us — the basic property of the world, thanks to which life was able to incarnate and develop. Everything is cyclical, and this deep down is not enough for people who want stability — a paradox. Humanity’s way out of this painful state of instability is the diffusion of the future into the past. This is the only way to avoid plunging into chaos. Cyclicity erases the line between the past and the future, because they are always mixed. That is why life has meaning — in the Universe Itself there is a balance between despair and longing for utopian life, a thirst to slow down and develop.
